Challenge:
Administering a sweepstakes entirely on Facebook requires some savvy with handling technical specifications as well as a labyrinth of terms and conditions. Creative execution must be on point to grab the attention of users inundated with content on Facebook.

 

Goal:
Timberland wanted to run a contest on Facebook that would allow users to submit photos of their boots for a chance to win gift cards or a grand prize trip to the Sundance Film Festival.

 

Solution:

Anything based on user submissions comes with the liability of content inappropriate to the brand message or rejected by the platform. Thus, HYFN built a moderation system enabling the client to approve or ban posts before they could be displayed.

 

Result:
The contest was a big hit with users and generated a strong buzz around the brand. HYFN integrated the application as a tab on the Timberland fan page. It included voting and leaderboard features to engage users beyond submitting entries.
